1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Simple Debt Snowball ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Simple Debt Snowball is a debt payoff calculator that helps you plan and track your debt repayment using the debt snowball method. The core calculator is free and runs entirely in your browser. An optional Pro subscription adds cloud backup, multi-device sync, and additional features.

3. Free Tier

The free tier of the Service requires no account and stores all data locally on your device. We make no guarantees about the persistence of locally stored data, as it is subject to browser storage limits and clearing.

4. Pro Subscription

The Pro subscription is billed on a monthly or annual basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain Pro access until then.

Cloud-stored data is retained for 30 days following cancellation, after which it may be permanently deleted. We are not responsible for data loss after this retention period.

5. Payments

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card information. Prices are listed in USD and are subject to change with reasonable notice. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

6. User Accounts

Pro accounts are identified by email address and authenticated via magic link. You are responsible for keeping your email address accurate and for any activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system or account, scraping or reverse-engineering the Service, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Financial Disclaimer

Simple Debt Snowball is a planning tool and does not constitute financial advice. All calculations are estimates based on the information you provide. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making major financial decisions.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including data loss or inaccurate calculations.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts of the United States.
